Privacy Policy
Volt Roll: Ball Runner (the "game") is made by Hakan Akkaya (Craftology), Turkey. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: contact@hakanakkaya.net.
Your game progress stays on your phone
Your best distance, coins, lit buildings, balls and trails, missions, daily rewards and settings are saved only on your device. There are no accounts and we do not receive this data. Uninstalling the game removes it.
Crash reports
To find and fix crashes, the game uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google). When the game crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report with:
- the technical details of the error (where in the game's code it happened);
- basic device information: device model, operating system version, app version, available memory and disk space;
- a random identifier created by Crashlytics for this installation (not your name, account or advertising ID);
- the game's graphics quality, control mode and language settings, and the names of the last game events before the crash (for example "run start").
Crash reports are used only to fix problems. Crashlytics keeps them for up to 90 days.
Anonymous gameplay statistics
The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the game is played, for example how far runs go, which parts are too hard and how the city and ball shop are used. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland this happens only if you agree in Google's consent form; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy. It collects:
- Game events: runs started and finished (distance, coins, run time, near misses, ramp jumps, district reached, whether a revive or a new record happened), revives, doubled coins, completed missions, daily rewards, lit buildings and balls or trails bought with coins, and which Google Play product was bought (for example "remove_ads"), without any payment details.
- An app instance ID: a random identifier created by Firebase for this installation.
- Approximate location: country and region, derived by Google from your IP address. We never use precise location.
- Basic device information: device model, operating system version and language.
Statistics never use the advertising ID or the device ID (SSAID), and advertising storage and personalisation are switched off for them. Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider; we do not sell it or share it with anyone else. Google Analytics keeps it for up to 14 months.
Advertising
The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob:
- Optional reward videos that you choose to watch: to continue a run once after a crash, or to double the coins of a run.
- Now and then a full-screen ad between runs, when you leave the game over screen: never in your first session or your first three runs, at most once every two runs and once every 75 seconds, and never right after a reward video. Buying Remove Ads removes these ads; the optional reward videos stay available.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google AdMob collects the advertising ID, an app instance ID, approximate location (from your IP address), basic device information and how you interact with the ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before ads are personalised, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Ad privacy. In US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data in the same place. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Google → Ads). How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases
Remove Ads, the Starter Pack, premium balls and coin packs are sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or account details. The game only receives a confirmation of the order so it can give you what you bought and restore one-time purchases; it keeps the order numbers on your device so an order is never given twice. Which product was bought is counted in the anonymous gameplay statistics above.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and transfers
All data sent from the game is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Google's servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States; Google protects the data with its own safeguards for international transfers.
Your choices and rights
- Change your ad and statistics choices in Settings → Ad privacy (where shown), or reset your advertising ID and turn off personalised ads in your phone's settings.
- Because there are no accounts and the data is not linked to your identity, we usually cannot find data that belongs to you. You can still write to us with any request or question and we will help as far as we can.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, US state laws or Turkey's KVKK, Law No. 6698) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to use them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
